If we package food with unqualified bags, it will not only contaminate food, the most important is that will do harm to our health. Therefore, how can we check whether a plastic bag can hold food?
Step 1, look
The first is to see whether the surface of the plastic bag has the mark of “used for food”. Then, to check its color. Generally, colored plastic bags can not be used to package food because they may be produced by recycled materials from waste plastic.
Step 2, smell
To check whether the plastic bag is smelly, whether it let us feel sick. A qualified plastic bag should be no smell, and because the use of additive, unqualified plastic bags are always smelly.
Step 3, tear
Qualified plastic bags have strong tensile, and it will not be torn toillessly. Due to the addition of impurities, unqualified plastic bags’ tensile is very poor, easy to tear.
Step 4, listen
When we shake qualified plastic bags, it will give out a clear sound, while unqualified plastic bags are often "buzz" of the dull.
At last, when we are not sure whether a plastic bag is qualified, we’d better not use it to package hot or oil food.
